Netflix & Cooper

Netflix & Cooper

As the lockdown period continues, I have pretty much been bedflixing and chilling, when I am not busy working or blogging of course.

But as May approaches, I can’t help but look forward to the new month because firstly the confinement will be over (hopefully!) and secondly, my Cotonese pup, Cooper, turns one.

Cooper came into my life at a time when I was at my lowest. I had just finished my postgrad and was returning to Mauritius for good. I found myself having a hard time readjusting with life back home and the uncertainty of the future along with the pressure of starting my career took a toll on my mental health. It sounds corny when I say it now but for some reason I felt like the solution to my problem was getting a dog.

There were so many factors to consider but I was adamant and it felt for a second that the Universe was in my favour. While having him with me has been a real life changer, I am truly grateful for his presence in my life.

Getting a pet comes with a big responsibility. It almost feels like having a baby. They require our constant care and attention but  amidst it all I would like to think that they give us much more than we give them.

Dog lovers know something that no one else does: there’s no purer form of love than the kind you get from your four-legged family.

So as a tribute to all those loving dogs out there and Cooper of course, here is a list of my top 5 personal all-time favourite dog movies.

I would definitely recommend them to any dog lover out there looking for something to watch during the lockdown period.

So grab some popcorn, a hot chocolate maybe, a warm blanket and enjoy the movie.

Love Always,

P.S. Let me know your all time fav dog movie in the comment section below 🙂
